Ethan's Big Boy Room

Here are a few pictures of Ethan's big boy room. I finished his room while Kevin was in Florida with Ethan. I painted the walls and stripes and also painted the bed and dresser. We still need to accessorize his room with some pictures and a few shelves and then it should be finished. We put up a safety rail on the bed and Ethan has been sleeping in there the last few nights. He has been waking up in the middle of the night screaming, but after settling him back down he's been back to sleep and waking up around 8:00.

Florida Trip - Ethan and Kevin

2007-02-22 Florida Trip with Daddy 1
Kevin and Ethan took a trip to Florida by themselves in late February. They went to the beach, played miniature golf, and did a lot of swimming at the pool. Here are some pictures from their trip. While they were gone I worked on turning our guest bedroom into a "big-boy" room for Ethan. It was nice to have the house to myself for the first time in 2 years and it is amazing how much I accomplished in just a long weekend.

Ethan Singing Twinkle Twinkle

Ethan is starting to talk so much now. He's even starting to sing songs and say his ABC's. His favorite song is Twinkle Twinkle

Valentine's Day Party - Ethan's School

Ethan had his 1st Valentine's Day party at school. The kids all brought in Valentine's for each other and passed them out in bags that they had made in class. They had a bean-bag toss that Ethan really enjoyed (see pics) and then they played with the parachute (see video).

Kevin's Poker Party

Kevin had is semi-annual poker party last Saturday. He had 29 people play and then there were the few of us that sat around and watched (Stacey & I). Everyone had a good time and Kevin came in 2nd place. As you can see from the video, the party really began around 2 AM. It was a late night and we got to bed around 4:30 in the morning.

Ethan's 2nd Birthday Party

Ethan
Ethan turned 2! We had a small party for him at our house for his actual birthday and then on Saturday we had a birthday party with him at Chuck E Cheese. The kids had so much fun and really enjoyed themselves. Ethan has been talking non-stop about all the things he did at Chuck E Cheese

Tiny Treasures School

Ethan started school a few weeks ago. It's called Tiny Treasures and it's a program for 2 year olds to socialize and have fun with other kids. It's every Friday for 1 1/2 hours at a local Lutheran church. He goes with mom and gets to play games, read stories, have snack, sing, and dance. He loves going and loves his teacher Mrs. Schull. I've been really impressed with the school and may decide to send him to pre-school there too, although I've heard that it's tough to get into. This week's theme at school was "Winter Time" and the kids made snowman crafts, built a snowman water bottle, had a snowball fight out of crinkled up tissue paper, and got to have mom pull them on sleds made out of floor scooters. As you can see the teacher is really creative and it's giving me lots of ideas to do with the girls I babysit.
