We've had a very busy August with lots of family fun. Kevin's family was here for the summer from Florida and from China, so we've spent many weekends hanging out with them.
The month started out with an awesome trip up to Crystal Mountain. Kirk & Kathy invited us up North to spend a week with them and Kevin's parents. The resort was very kid friendly with a great zero depth pool. Most of our time was spent lounging or at the pool. We also made a trip over to Lake Michigan to Frankfort Beach and a day trip to Traverse City.
The rest of the month was filled up with other fun trips. We took a trip to Huckleberry Village in Flint to see Thomas the Train. Ethan loved watching the trains on the model tracks the best, and of course cried when it was time to go home (for the 2nd year in a row). We also went to a Tigers game, took a day trip to the Splash Park and the Detroit Zoo. Of course the train ride at the zoo was the highlight for Ethan. Nolan's highlight was riding in the snuggly (he wanted nothing to do with his stroller).
