No More Binky

Shortly after we came home from Florida, we decided it was time for Ethan to give up his Binky. Let's just say that he was extremely attachted to it, so therefore it scared me quite a bit to have him give it up. But once again, he surprised me! I had bought 5 small presents in prepration for this, and told Ethan that he would get a present for each day he went without his Binky. I told Ethan to gather up all his binkies and place them into a mailing envelope. I told him we were shipping his binkies to all the new babies in the world that needed a binky. We wrote a letter and he colored it. When the time came to place them in the envelope, he was very reluctnant and said "NO", but eventually the curiosity of a present overwhelmed him and he did it and took them out to the mailbox. He only had one breakdown during the day (which broke my heart), but after that it was amazingly easy. I couldn't believe he gave it up so easy!
