February 2008

Well, February has been a rough month for us. It started off with the passing of my girlfriend Heidi. We have been friends since 5th grade and she will be missed greatly. Heidi's memorial service was touching to see how many people loved Heidi. We love you and will miss you Heidi!

This month also was challenging for us due to the flu and sinus infections. Ethan and Nolan both had a sinus infection which lasted several weeks. During this period, Kevin and I both got it and mine led to the flu and bronchitis. I was so sick I asked my mom for help with the kids and she watched the kids for 4 days while I locked myself in her bedroom and slept (Thank you so much mom!). Unfortunately the infection lasted for about 3 weeks total and we infected everyone we came into contact with (I counted at least 7, SORRY EVERYONE).

Even though it was a challenging month, we still managed some fun with the kids. I took Ethan to see Elmo Live with Shannon and Abbey.Ethan had a Valentine's Day party at school which Kevin took him to. Also our friends hosted a murder mystery dinner that I hear was a great time (I missed out on).

We headed to Florida at the end of the month for a much needed vacation and rest from our colds. We'll post pictures soon.
