Nolan's 2nd Birthday

Wow, my baby boy is 2 years old! We celebrated his birthday with a small party at our house. We made him a Doggie cake because doggies are his favorite animal and favorite word. Nolan received a Lil Quad for his birthday that he has been riding around the house non-stop. He loved his party and loved playing with the kids in the backyard. He thought it was great to have all the attention on him for a change.

NOLAN YEAR IN REVIEW

1. Nolan began this year with learning to walk (wow that seemed so long ago)

2. He started communicating and repeating all words. He leaves the first letter off of almost every word (doggie is oggie; book is ook; car is arr; etc)

3. Loves animals; favorite thing to do is go to the petting farm or the zoo

4. Loves the outdoors; we took him camping last summer and he was in him element

5. Likes to put on other people's shoes

6. Favorite foods are spaghetti or any kind of pasta; also loves corn on the Cobb

7. Follows Ethan around everywhere he goes and copies everything he does (this bothers Ethan at times, but other times he thinks it's cool and funny)

8. Likes music and dancing

9. He likes to antagonize Ethan and Ashley (or any kid that will allow it). He will purposely pull on your clothes or poke at you to see if you will react.

10. Gets frustrated when mom or dad doesn't understand what he is trying to say and will throw himself down on the ground and have a little tantrum with his feet up in the air.

11. Loves his binky

12. Does not like Santa Claus or Easter Bunny or anyone dressed up in character

13. Learned how to open up doors all by himself

14. Loves to run after Tyra and play with her

15. He can climb up anything! Play structures, cribs, ladders. We had to move him to a toddler bed over a month ago because he was climbing out of his crib.
